THE INTERVIEW OF A RISING STAR
I have had the opportunity to not just interview but, travel with The #MBK FAMILIES THEARL BEEBE, and SPOONY G . First time I met them was at an event at The Warehouse for Mj birthday party ,they came through with Petty Murphy a very well known host out of Columbus Ohio, and fellow student of Ohio Media School. They debuted a single called Water during the party that was super live, and full of energy. I was shooting footage for my Video Neva Slang Again, and they approached me about shooting for them so we exchanged numbers, and set a time to talk at a later date. We talked the next day, and confirmed a radio interview at Wudg Underground Columbus where I learned a lot about them. SPOONY G spoke a lot about his family, and had a very positive demeanor. THEARL BEEBE was very energetic when it came to his purpose in the industry, he talked very highly of Derez Deshon, and explained their background, and friendship. They both elaborated in depth about Lil Boosie, and Derez. SPOONY G explained that Boosie is one of his favorite artists because, he can relate to some of the things he is and has battled with for Year's, he said that he could feel his pain in his music cause, he went through some of the same things. THEARL spoke briefly on the pain in Derez Deshons music, and went on to talk about how excited he was to be performing at The Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 9th with Derez. He started shouting out his family as well as The MBK FAMILY they both sent thanks to God, AND Dawg Life... They have a distribution deal that was nurtured through Big Heff from The Heavy Hitters, and CEO of Def Jam Midwest. By the time the interview was over i had confirmed going to Cincinnati with the MBK FAMILY. The trip to Cincinnati was very elegant from the way we traveled to staying in the Hyatt Renaissance in downtown Cincy. Once we arrived to The Avenue we walked through the rear entrance with Derez coming through at the same time they chopped it up for a moment then we went to a high level VIP area right by the stage in a building that was filled with atleast 3500 people. Everything was big budget nothing was out of reach, and the entire MBK FAMILY was on Splash (crispy) draped in The MBK Clothing, Versace, Gucci, and draped in diamonds. I kept my camera rolling to be sure to get all the footage I needed from this epic experience. The promoter had everything set up perfectly, and the vibe was on 10. When THEARL BEEBE and SPOON hit the stage the crowd was jumping through the roof because of the energy behind the performance that was coming from the stage. Thecrowd even joined in with them many time's during the show. The show was amazing and afterwards there was a celebration in the VIP, it wasn't long before Derez took the stage, and The MBK FAMILY was on stage to show support. I was shooting footage from the floor to catch a couple different angles then I was summoned to join them on stage to get a closer view, and get great footage. Derez Deshon had a great show, and dapped The MBK FAMILY up during his performance. After his show The MBK FAMILY took photos with Derez, and hollered at him for a minute before we left the building. The next morning they were all about shopping, and wasn't shy about spending that money on the finest. We started in Saks 5th, ended up in the Louis store adjacent to the Hotel. When it came to dining they weren't settling for just anythingthey wanted a fine dining atmosphere ,and chose Pappadeux in Fairborn, Ohio. Crab legs, Steaks, Shrimps, and with all the trimmings. Once stomachs were full they decided to finish the trip with one last stop at The Kenwood Mall where they bought everything from clothing to 4 carat diamond bracelets, pendants, chains,watches etc... The trip was super dope, and I had absorbed a lot in that time period when I got home I was exhausted but, really excited. You can find THEARL BEEBE and SPOON on soundcloud to check out their music.
