The interview of a Hip-Hop  survivalist

Today I had the honor to interview MOTA ,a Hip-Hop artist out of Brooklyn,Ny. During our discussion he stated that his brother who had 2 songs on Spike Lee's Clockers was his greatest influence to music .He went on to explain that although his brother was his influence he would like to collab with artists such as Fab,Lil Boosie ,Meek Mills, and Hove. He has been self motivated, and wanted to be in the music industry since he could recollect. He explained that what we know as mumble rap today is another genre of hip-hop, and that Hip-Hop has re-envented itself many time's since the dawn of it's day. He said what he'd tell any new artist coming into the industry is to be themselves, and always make music that you love to make. As far as double standards in the industry Mota stated that women have more support when they make create women empowering anthems, and due to the shortage of female Hip-Hop artists that they have it easier. Mota also stated that he would like to see drug abuse stop in the urban community especially when it comes to our youth. He has been on The Walking Dead for a couple years now, and is talking shoe deal's with Adidas, and even though his career is going well he said that with the ups, and downs he has been flustered on many occasions. You can view his videos on YouTube under Mota .CONGRATULATIONS on your ongoing success,I am Cap City Nittie ,and this has been another blog on capcitynittie.com
