Sonny Campbell Interview

THE INTERVIEW OF A HIP-HOP SOCIALIST It’s nothing new to see me promoting,or working with Ohio artist Sonny Campbell but, on tuesday February 20th I had the honor of having him co-host my radio show on WUDG UNDERGROUND COLUMBUS, Cap City Nittie I am The City Radio Show. The show started off on time ,and the energy in the studio was great, it was like he was made to do radio but, it was more of a breaking point to remind me why I got into this business all together. Sonny sat gracefully while I presented the show, and he was very open about upcoming events on his agenda. He explained to me ,and just about 25,000 listeners the importance of artistry, and investing in yourself as an artist, he spoke about Sonny Sunday’s which is coming real soon. Sonny Sunday’s is a live concert that he will do every sunday to give those who can’t get to his show’s an opportunity to see him perform like his family in Lima, Ohio ,and people across the United States of America who have not had a chance to make some of his dates . No longer than an hour into the show we had a special guest come through the studio by the name of Petty Murphy who is a Host here in Columbus, and other parts of the country on mixtapes , the big shows like Scarface, and MJG who are coming to the Columbus area March 17th. Petty Murphy was excited to sit in the studio but, even more excited to talk to Sonny about his song No Mercy featuring Snoop Dogg. HE asked about how the whole song, and ft came about, and Sonny answered the question not in verbatim” I was already connected to Snoop in a couple different ways when I got the opportunity to send a song for Snoop to review I ended up choosing this song because it was something I was working on at the time ,and new the mesh between me ,and Snoop would fit. Murph as I like to call him then asked Sonny Campbell how it felt to be on stage with a world hip-hop Icon, Sonny explained that it was like being a rookie playing next to Lebron for the first time. Before he could finish speaking I had to tell him my experience of watching the show live on fb simply by saying that, When I seen you on stage with Snoop it was like I was there with you, I felt like there was hope for artist in Ohio to flourish because of the hard work ,and dedication that was put into the whole experience. We also talked about The Legacy Squad Happy Birthday Song that we teamed up to shoot. It was an amazing night in the studio, and I would like to thank Sonny Campbell , and Petty Murphy for blessing the studio you can see some clips from this occasion by clicking this link
